ÄFAB lab
has access to a well adapted intrumentation that meets BBR's requirements of OGC. For example, we have combustion jonisation instrument for total hydrocarbon and various instruments to measure O2- and CO-contents according to CEN-suggestion. Of course, we can also measure efficiencys and effects. We have a computerized cooling rig to be able to make complete test cycles against varying power drain. Today our lab manages all kinds of small-scale combustion installations in effect areas up to approx. 100 kW.
New platform scales
Before this year's combustion season, ÄFAB has realized additional improvements in the lab. I.a. investments in a new platform scales been made, this makes it possible to minute for minute control the fuel supply to the combustion.

Electricity consumption & consumption of power
It is also new that we now even continuously can log in the electricity consumption on the equipment we use. This is something that also opens the door to measure the total consumption of power in combi systems with e.g. electric heating as back up. Not least interesting in combination with water jacketed pellet stoves and sun heat systems are getting more asked for on the market.
Thanks to the investments new load cykles have also been taken out that in a more clear way than before document the efficiency of a combustion equipment. ÄFAB's tests today fast reveal both the strength and weaknesses of equipment. The last one not least important since ÄFAB's business idea is to help manufacturing companies with product development.
ÄFAB is not a certified testing laboratory for environmental measurement technology, our business idea is instead to test the product before the final testing, preferably during the time of the development of the product. Of course we can promise 100% discretion if you wish, but in the cases where the clients allow it, we happily present the result on this site.
